Museum Thyssen-Bornemisza
Paseo del Prado, 8. Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Mondays closed.
Gothic painting and Italian and Dutch Primitives on the second floor of the Museum are the starting point of the tour and history-and-style guide. In these first rooms, visitors witness the birth of a new way of understanding art, in harmony with a change of mentality: mediaeval symbolism and schematism give way to Renaissance naturalism and idealism.
The museum was inaugurated in 1993, is exposed one of the most important private arts collections.

National Museum Reina Sofía
Santa Isabel, 52. Open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday closed.

Museum of Palacio Real
Bailén s/n. Open 9 a.m. to 6.15 p.m., Sundays and Holidays 9 a.m. to 3.15 p.m.

Palacio Real. Campo del Moro. Open 9 a.m. to 6.15 p.m., Sundays and Holidays 9 a.m. to 3.15 p.m.

Open Air Sculpture Museum
Paseo de la Castellana
Specially Remarkable are the works of Chillida.

National Museum of Decorative Arts
Montalbán, 12. Open 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., Mondays closed.
A large collection of ceramics, glass-objects, textiles and furniture.

National Museum fof Artistic Reproductions
Av. de los Reyes Católicos, 6. Open 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays closed.
Interesting collection of reproductions.

Romantic Museum
